Car Rental FAQ Morocco: Documents, Deposit, Insurance and More

Renting a car for the first time in a new country often raises practical questions. Here are clear answers to the ones we hear most often. For anything specific to your dates or your car, the best is simply to ask us on WhatsApp.
Documents and conditions
Which documents do I need?
Plan on:
- A valid driving license - the physical card.
- Your passport or national ID card.
- A way to pay the security deposit.
Do I need an International Driving Permit?
It depends on your country and on your license. An International Driving Permit is a document that presents your license in a standardized, multilingual format. Check with the authorities of your country before you travel.
Is there a minimum age or license seniority?
Yes, most agencies set conditions on age and on how long you have held your license, and they can vary by car. Ask us when you book and we will confirm the conditions for your car.
Booking and payment
How do I book?
Choose a car on our fleet page, then send your dates through the booking form or directly on WhatsApp. We reply to confirm availability, the price and the pickup details.
What is included in the price?
Ask for the total price for your dates and what it includes - insurance, mileage and any extras. We confirm everything in writing before you commit.
What is the security deposit?
It is an amount held during the rental and returned at the end if the car comes back in the agreed condition. Ask us for the amount and the accepted payment methods for your car.
Insurance and problems
Is insurance included?
Ask what the included insurance covers and the amount of the excess, the part you would pay yourself in case of damage. Our guide to hidden car rental costs explains the points to check.
What should I do in case of a breakdown or accident?
Switch on your hazard lights, move to a safe place if possible, and contact us straight away. In an emergency, call the police (19), the Royal Gendarmerie (177) or the ambulance and fire services (15).
How do I avoid disputes about damage?
Inspect the car with us at pickup, make sure every existing mark is noted, and take photos and a video. Do the same at return.
On the road
Which fuel do your cars use?
Our current fleet - Dacia Logan sedans, a Dacia Sandero, a Renault Express and a Renault Kardian - runs entirely on diesel. See photos, seats, doors and equipment on our fleet page.
What is the fuel policy?
Ask when you book at what level the tank is at pickup and at what level to return it. Photograph the fuel gauge at both moments.
Can someone else drive the car?
Additional drivers usually need to be declared. Ask us about the conditions and the documents they need.
Can I drive anywhere in Morocco?
Road trips between cities are one of the best reasons to rent a car. Share your planned route when you book so we can advise you and confirm any conditions. A standard rental car should stay on paved roads.
Any tips for driving in Morocco?
Yes - read our guide to driving in Morocco for rules, checkpoints, parking and safety tips.
Without driving
I don't want to drive. What are my options?
Our services include a private driver with car and airport transfers, so you can enjoy your trip as a passenger.
Still have a question?
